Impact of Social Pension

Seventy-two countries around the world have some form of cash transfer to poor older people.  Forty-six are either middle or low-income countries. In Asia, only the Philippines and Indonesia have no form of social pension, while Bangladesh, India and Nepal, countries economically poorer than the Philippines have social pensions for poor older people.
